Initially, with VALIC, I became an independent financial advisor/planner in 2008 to better serve my clients and offer a broad, comprehensive range of services and products. Cambridge Investment Research has been my “home” since 2013. I am licensed to provide any financial service in the states of Texas, Florida, and Washington and have designations as a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) as well as an RICP (Retirement Income Certified Professional). These designations have provided me with extensive knowledge of tax, trust, and product issues. My business degree is from the University of Houston Downtown. Although my primary practice has been to help people in the education field prepare for retirement, my business has branched out to include the family members of clients, small business owners and their employees, state and federal staff, and individual investors looking to build a nest egg. My primary focus is to assist clients in setting retirement goals and finding the best path to reach them; however, other investment objectives such as education savings, stocks and bonds, life insurance, and wealth preservation are other specialties of mine. Originally born and raised in Louisiana, my husband, Walter, and I married and have lived in Houston since 1982. We have two children—Sean, a fifteen-year veteran teacher, and Nikki, an employee with the State of Texas since her graduation from college. I am also the proud grandmother of three girls, Paige and twins, Jodi and Amelia. My dual residences in Houston and Round Rock keep me centered in my busiest regions of Texas and help me stay close to all of my family members. financial service in the states of Texas, Florida, and Washington and have designations as a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) as well as an RICP (Retirement Income Certified Professional).
